The day my son bumped into Jo 5 years ago whilst she was on a walk with a group of dogs. It was meant to be. He was amazed how she got so many different breeds sat in line looking at her for a photo. He came home and I phoned to make an enquiry. She came to meet Bodie and ourselves and no questions were too much. She was honest and open and straight away we both felt this was the lady we all wanted, not just because of Jo herself but the effort with the care in the van, air-conditioning lighting etc. As a full time wheelchair user it's been a challenge to trust anyone with an anxious pup as we got Bodie 6 months before lockdown and we started off with just the 1 walk a week, but we could tell how much he looked forward to that day it became more apparent over time. He now goes with both Jo and Dave Mon to Fri and if I have appointments or need help they've always been accommodating. The support they have given to us as a family has been invaluable, every day the wonderful photos of each group's walks the videos at the end of the day, the apt music to go with them all. Birthday, Easter and Christmas they show their love to all the dogs. I no longer see them as dog walker/client but friends. An invaluable service and I'm happy to recommend them to anyone whole heartedly.

I remember the first time I contacted Jo - we set up a meeting and I explained that I had lots of questions for her before we made our decision, particularly because our boy has an underlying health condition. I was impressed when she responded with rather a lot of questions for me too. After interviewing each other, checking her credentials and agreeing a start date, I can honestly say that I felt comfortable to leave our house key with her. Since then Jo has taken our dog Rossi out for initially one walk a day then two walks a day after I hurt my back; he loves her and I feel safe in the knowledge that our boy is having a great time with his friends and looked after by someone who absolutely loves dogs. I am so glad that someone recommended Jo to me and now feel that I would like to reciprocate for others who are looking for a trustworthy person to look after their baby.

We've been using Hounds of Love for almost a year to walk our mini schnauzer, Larry, once a week, and we couldn’t be happier! From the very first walk, it was clear they had a natural rapport with dogs—and Larry took to them immediately. Every visit is prompt, professional, and full of the kind of thoughtful attention that gives us total peace of mind (ensuring water bowls are filled up, personalised Christmas gifts and lots of lovely treats!). We love the videos and photos we get after each walk. Larry has a great time and is getting the exercise and socialisation he needs. They have even managed to get him in the water, which we've never managed to do!! I can’t recommend Jo and Dave highly enough. We were referred to them and since day one they have been truly amazing. From their superb vans with air con for a comfy ride, to the variety of locations they go to, and most of all, the clear love they have for my dog, I really couldn’t imagine anyone else taking my Nug for his walks every week. They give birthday cards and special personalised treats, fill up his water bowl every time, make sure he is not over heated, take him on early walks when it’s hot out (we have a pug) and really do go the extra mile for us. If you go with Hounds of Love I am 1000% confident in saying you and your fur babies will be happier for it!!

I’m so happy I found Hounds of Love, Jo and Dave are an amazing dog walking duo, from the very start I could see how much they loved dogs, on the first visit they were careful not to overwhelm my little sausage dog Minnie whilst also giving cuddles whenever she came to them so a great first introduction. Minnie loves her walks with Jo & Dave and is so excited when they collect her. I love the daily pictures of all the dogs it’s lovely to see Minnie with her new friends all having fun. Overall a brilliant service that I can’t recommend highly enough.

Jo and Dave have been walking my two dogs since I rescued them in 2023. As former street, shelter dogs from Bulgaria, neither had a conventional start to life, meaning they have quirks not present in dogs who have always lived in a home. Jo and Dave have been very patient with them, adapting to their needs and supporting them to integrate with the other pack dogs. I would 100% recommend hounds of love to care for your dog. I will always be grateful that they didn't give up on my two through the difficult times.
